The Opening 1

They grew up as next door neighbors and became good friends. They spent endless hours scurrying along beaches and scouring tidal pools. In those days an odd piece of driftwood was an amazing find. Blue sea glass was rare and precious. Swan brought his head up out of neck deep water with a whitish chunk of sea glass.  Hey, look at this he shouted between clenched beaks. Crab gave a disinterested "uh huh", but his narrow gaze gave away his thoughts. "How does Tri find all the cool stuff? "

As the universal saying goes, those were the days.

Introduction to Parents

Because earthlings thought they had located the "center" of the universe, everyone else in the universe assumed they were in the far reaches, nothing was further from the truth.

It was obvious that the visible three dimensions could be observed. It was shown that the galaxies, solar systems and objects of any significant size consisted of spherical shapes and followed circular or elliptical paths. But the fourth dimension was also circular in nature and things were moving away from each other at times and towards each other at other times.

Because time exists in a vacuum it was difficult to study. (Side note: Of course this explanation is intended to be fictional and any of the fourth dimension part that turns out to be factual is completely coincidental. )

Space Crab and Trilateral Swan were born on an insignificant planet in a galaxy far far . . . away. So far away, in fact, that earth would never see it. It was over the fourth dimension horizon.

If this part is too stupid turn the page.
